Fragment of a medium- or large-sized oxidising-fired ceramic vessel, decorated with red paint, probably almagra, consisting of a series of horizontally aligned triangles interspersed with zigzag lines.
The most relevant aspect of the piece is undoubtedly its decoration, whose motifs are widely represented in contexts from the full and advanced Neolithic of the lands of the eastern façade of the peninsula, although in general the Montgó piece is closely related to Eastern Andalusia and Murcia. It is precisely here, in the Cueva de los Tiestos de Jumilla, where its closest parallels are to be found, to which are now joined those found in the settlement of Niuet, in Alqueria d'Asnar.
