Welcome to MARQ’s new website; the website of the Provincial Archaeology Museum of Alicante. This new portal has emerged alongside two new exhibitions: “The Body Beautiful in Ancient Greece” and “Greek Traces in Iberian Contestania”. The new website will gradually grow in content and in the services it provides so that with time it will become an important forum for all those interested in the history and culture of Alicante. MARQ’s new website aims to be dynamic and interactive. The museum has always promoted the use of new technologies and it will develop such concepts as web communities, blogs, wikis etc…. MARQ’s aim is to promote the creation and exchange of information and knowledge for various audiences including archaeology professionals, informed amateurs, teachers, students and the young and old alike. MARQ hopes that this website will provide a platform to promote the appreciation and dissemination of Alicante’s historical and cultural heritage.
